I texted someone inside a simulation.
She had to go upstairs and find her phone before she could text me back.
The video model didn’t decide what happened.
This is Argos, my stateful simulation engine, rendered through H3 using Fal Director. Thanks to @fal for the generous credits helping me bring it to life.
Underneath the video is a persistent world: characters, objects, locations, and systems. The characters have their own cognition, memories, and goals. They choose actions; the simulation determines what actually happens.
Her phone has a location. Messages have delivery and read states. Typing a reply takes time. If I move the phone before she gets there, it’s gone—even if she remembers leaving it there.
Argos turns those changing world states into instructions for H3 to depict.
You can also see her character thought stream. The video currently trails the simulation a little; I’m working on aligning the two.
Next: connect this to SMS, so you can text someone inside the world and receive their reply. Or whisper an impulse into her thoughts and see whether she follows it.
The bigger ambition is a world that keeps growing while its characters inhabit it—with agents writing and maintaining the simulation’s systems.

I can't help but feel personally burned by the Claude Code changes announced today.
We put so much work into wrapping the (atrocious) Claude Agent SDK in T3 Code. It was the ONLY path they supported, so we made it work. It was hell.
Now our users are getting their rate limits cut by 40x, despite us doing everything right.
I listened to the Claude Code team. I had my issues with their direction, but I trusted them and took them at their word.
I will never make that mistake again.
Until we see significant change, it is safe to assume any statement from an Anthropic employee is a lie on a timer.
The rug will be pulled, no matter how many promises are made beforehand.

time speeds up because experience gets compressed by habit, craving, aversion, planning, selfing. these create conditionings most people can't feel, but are there, and you can train to feel it
lsd is the obvious proof point: temporarily loosen the conditionings and ~everyone reports time slowing down, things being more vivid, the world feels childlike again. because it is more childlike, you had fewer conditionings then. almost everyone with tens of thousands of hours of meditation practice reports ~2-3x slower time, more vivid experience, because something drops, which matches my experience too (this longevity benefit was a big motivation for doing it in the first place, and it basically did what the books claimed it would)
